Skin abscess: Small skin abscesses (boils) will heal over time but often speeded by minor surgery to drain pus. Standard pain meds are recommended, such as aspirin (a "natural" medication derived from the willow tree). If the abscess is large, or with much pain or surrounding redness or fever, for sure needs drainage and often an antibiotic. In such cases, relying on "natural" remedies can be very dangerous.
