Hard to say: Usually this is not severe enough to cause major problems but will often give significant winding or bruising. To be absolutely sure a doctor examination is required. This should be done urgently if vomiting, breathing difficulties, passing blood in urine or pain increasing in severity.

Treat and observe: Treat the injury with h ice and anti inflammatory Lubienski ke ibuprofen. Watch for developing symptoms like nausea, breathing issues, blood in urine or stools to name a few. Hopefully it is just a bruise but if pain persists or gets worse may need more in depth evaluation
