Variable, worse >65Y: The prognosis in AML is variable/ is based on age(worse in >60 yr olds) and cytogenetic changes in the leukemic cells. Low platelets are common and often fluctuate as observed in this case. Find out the genetic subtype of his AML. Achievement of complete remission(CR) with the first cycle of chemo(4 weeks time) is a good sign. What date did he start his chemo?
