Depends on symptoms: What adds urgency to the situation is uncontrollable pain down the arm(s) or progressive neurological decline (increasing numbness and/or weakness in arms or legs, or difficulty in controlling bladder). If you are experiencing any of these, you should see a doctor sooner.

No: It does not sound like an emergency. Perhaps you can call the office of the neurosurgeon and request an earlier appointment or to be placed on a cancellation list to get in sooner. Good luck.
