Get tested for HIV: The only way to know for sure is to get tested forhiv if you're concerned. There are no telltale signs of HIV infection. In fact, many people have no symptoms whatsoever, until their HIV becomes advanced and then they get sick, which may take several years. If you are sexually active, the recommendations are to get an HIV test yearly, although i recommend every 6 months if you are at higher risk.
