Gastroenteritis: These symptoms are strongly suggestive of a viral gastrointestinal tract infection. Treatment consists of resting, intake of adequate room temperature fluids, avoidance of harsh roughage, taking of kaopectate to control diarrhea(,imodium for severe diarrhea) and Tylenol as needed. Symptoms should gradually improve over a few days. If not, see your physician.
