Hospital evaluation: About half of pregnant women experience some bleeding in the first trimester. In most cases things turn out to be ok. It sounds like you have already been evaluated since you mentioned going to the hospital. Typically a pelvic exam and a sonogram are done to make sure a viable pregnancy is found located inside of the uterus.
