Unpredictable: Cancer, if it is going to develop(we can not predict it) can show up in 2 years after a normal test. But why are you concerned about developing stomach Cancer in the first place??. Almost none. : It would be very unlikely to have gastric cancer in this setting. Unless you had Barrett's Esophagus or some other potential pre-cancerous problem, your physician is probably doing it more to evaluate symptoms rather than concerning anything about cancer. If you want to schedule it, do not refuse. Good luck.
