Spasm?: Etiologies include underlying abnormality of the bone or muscle, a spasm, partial tear or referred pain from another site such as your back. If pain does not respond to gentle stretching, rest, ice and nsaids then proper evaluation is waranted. Get some basic xrays and see your doctor.
