A member asked:

I had an ultrasound & then a contrast ct scan, both showing a pancreatic mass. but right after my ercp, a rn said there was no mass. how can that be?

Imaging test in PC: Endoscopic ultrasound : This test is more accurate than abdominal US and can be very helpful in diagnosing pancreatic cancer. CT/PET Scan is useful for spotting cancer that has spread beyond the pancreas . ERCP is an imaging test that looks at the pancreatic ducts and bile ducts to see if they are blocked, narrowed, or dilated. In your case the mass is not encroaching or blocking the PD or BD.
