A member asked:

Any complications for late removal of iud coil?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

IUD: If you did not have an infection while the iud was in, it's not likely that it will cause many complications. Although the efficacy of some iud's may be lower after a period of time, the primary risk is pregnancy. If the string is still visible and the iud can be removed, there is little risk of complications.
