Doxy yes, cipro?: Doxycycline for 7 days is excellent against chlamydia, one of the preferred treatments. Be sure to take it as prescribed for the full 7 days. Cipro has no effect against chlamydia; maybe you were given a single dose to cover possible gonorrhea (?). (Cipro isn't the best choice for gonorrhea, but usually would work.) You can safely take both drugs at the same time.
