Can you explain what causes the brain to miss fire and cause a seizure? I had an EEG that showed abnormal activity but not having seizure. Mri clear.
Grand mal seizure i had one 3/31. Am going through neuro. Testing now: mri, ct, 2 decho, eeg, etc. I now have short-term memory loss & have trouble completing my sentennces. I knlow the word, but can't get it from brain to mouth, & can't remember a
3 year old patient presents with seizure like symptoms. Abnormal bilateral upward vertical eye movement, irrational behavior, loss of balance, slurred speech, confusion. Brain mri normal, bloodwork normal, cant get eeg. What could this be?
If an arachnoid cyst was over the temporal pareto region, would / could this cause Deja vu seizures? Temporal lobe epilepsy? If it was causing this would it be detected by an EEG or no? How do eegs correlate to mri findings / how accurate?
EEG&MRI tests4 seizures.Result neg.So what's split-second loss of consc.,falling 4ward&muscles very tense,brain feels 'shaken'.Just had this1st time.
