See you doctor...: Urine dipsticks and microscopic urinalysis can suggest uti, but the definitive test is a urine culture, which can take 36-72 hours to come back. If you are having symptoms, such as burning urination, frequency, urgency, or urine discoloration, i suggest you see your doctor to have a culture performed. It is not wrong to take antibiotics while you wait for the results if your doctor prescribes it.
