Many possibilities: Difficult to know how the 2 are related. Possibility that an abdominal problem may refer pain to the hip region and also cause taste disturbance. Or may be 2 different problems. The best way to solve this would be examination by a doctor licensed in your area as you may need some tests run to sort it out if not clear on the examination. All the best.
