Size and location.: Salicylic preparations to treat warts usually work best on smaller ones. I am not a fan of using an emery board or sanding devices when treating warts because they tend to make micro cuts in the skin. The viral particles can then be spread through the new cuts. The treatment, as with most things, depends on size and location. To protect from complications, no more than two weeks between visits.
