Boils from MRSA?: What is causing the boils? Infection? While it could be uncomfortable putting bleach on open boils, bleach is VERY antiseptic. It's used to get rid of bacteria (like Pseudomonas & MRSA) that are hard to get rid of by antibiotics alone. Using it on your skin could prevent bacteria from getting into your bloodstream later (via a break in the skin - bleeding) & causing an infection. Use as directed.
