In general OK: Buspar (buspirone) and alcohol are not known to have serious interactions. Even though Buspar (buspirone) is an anti-anxiety agent, it is also not cross-tolerant with alcohol or benzodiazepines. Nonetheless, combined anti-anxiety effects of Buspar (buspirone) and alcohol can impair reactivity in situations of danger. If one drinks alcohol at all while taking buspar, (buspirone) it is wisest to cut normal drinking (modest to begin with!) in half.
