Amenorrhea: If you have not had a period in over three consecutive months that is considered secondary amenorrhea and is not normal for your age. If you have not had a period in over 12 months that could be a sign of ovarian failure or premature menopause. If your not ovulating you are not producing hormones responsible for building up blood and tissue in your uterus every month, so there is nothing to shed
