I had a vaginal hysterectomy. 7 days ago i'm getting terrible pain when opening my bowels is this normal. ? i am not constipated

Postop visit: Bowel dysfunction is common after major surgery especially if narcotic pain medication were used. Often this gets better as one weans off narcotics. Schedule a postop visit with your surgeon to go over the surgery and for a postop check.
