Well,...: Over time, constant contact with smoke can certainly cause discoloration of the beard.

Yes: Facial hair near the nose or moth can become yellow or brown due to staining from cigarette tar. It has been reported that smoking may retard beard growth due changes in circulation (but I didn't find any studies on that).
