Not normal to have: swelling this far out unless there is either infection or a foreign body or continued irritation. You should be eating soft foods or soups, nothing hot or spicy and use a straw if you can so that food doesn't get on the cut on lip. Apply warm (boiled) water as often as possible, and if keeps up or gets worse, or if there is a possibility something got broken off in there (like glass) be seen.

You need a little: higher dose of patience. The lip tissues are highly vascular, containing many blood vessels and nerves, and sutures are very irritating. I'm glad you are certain there is no infection. The swelling will likely be noticeable for several more days--7-10--and it will take 4-6 weeks for healing. Continue soft, soothing, highly nutritious foods and liquids. Stay well:)
