Not likely, IMO: Research has shown that heat exposure of 100 degrees F or higher during pregnancy yields an increase in birth defects of 1.8/1000. Fevers are more dangerous. Fever sufferers totaled 1,865 women, and seven bore babies with defects, for a rate of 3.8 per 1,000. Women with no significant prenatal heat exposure bore defective babies at a rate of 1.8 per 1,000; same as 100 degree heat exposure. FYI

Not necessarily: Your risk of having a baby with birth defects is no higher than the background incidence of such occurrence. Make sure you are getting regular ante-natal care from an obstetrician. Wish you good health and a healthy baby!
