Usually, ok...: Most often a horseshoe kidney is incidentally found in CT scan for searching/confirming diseases in/behind abdomen including renal stone, but patients with this congenital malformation/abnormality usually still live a normal life like others except requiring special attention /precaution & even techniques to manage its diseases like stone or tumor. Horseshoe kidney : Usually has no symptoms but can put people at risks for kidney stones and urinary infections so do have a low threshold to seek urgent attention if abdominal pain urinary pain/frequency or nausea. Worth discussing with your doctor non urgently as some rarer conditions associated with plus to make a plan re what to look out for etc
