Chest tightness: Hi. Did this chest tightness begin recently? Whenever we hear about new onset of chest tightness our first concern is to rule out the possibility that it could be related to the heart. That is a priority! If that has not been checked out, you should go to the emergency room now to be evaluated. Once heart disease has been ruled out, then we can check for other causes. Do not delay. Good luck.
