You don't need two: If you took it within a few hours of unprotected sex, it should work at the maximum of its ability to eliminate unwanted pregnancies. Taking another now is not going to change anything. You should be sure to get on birth control ASAP. Good luck.

Safe: while taking an extra dose is a safe thing to do and will not harm your body, it is unlikely to decrease your risk of getting pregnant. the effectiveness of the drug has to do with when you take it, not how many you take. make sure to take a pregnancy test if you miss your period and talk to a doctor about starting a form of birth control.
