Is it normal to have slight aches in your back areas: upper, middle, spinal area, back bone before your period starts? is that a normal pms symptom?

They are: Quite commonly women experience achiness and pain in the back prior to menses which is considered part of the pre-menstrual syndrome. Why? The precise mechanism is not entirely understood, I don't think, but it is presumed that it is influenced by hormonal changes, fluid retention, possibly changes in inflammatory response. Eating healthfully, avoiding junk food/sugar, exercise may help. Stay well

Yes, likely: Mild back pain can occur before the start of Menses. If it recurs with each period, and it goes away after the period begins, then it must be considered related to your menses. it is harmless and can be easily relieved with a couple of Tylenol pills as and when needed.

Yes, but : In the phase of pms cell markers for certain inflammatory conditions increase on the surface of body cells. This is why inflammation of the spine is typically more severe in males. I suspect NSAIDs will help your discomfort almost immediately! Try otc naproxen.
