Not perfect (Answ#8): Neither PPI's nor sucralfate are perfect drugs, and both have been well studied as they've been respectively around a VERY long time (not sure what you're referring to by "new research" except to quote a few retrospective studies of questionable clinical significance regarding PPI's).
