I've been on 200mg of sertraline a long time for and i have just been proscribed 5mg amitriptyline. what side effects should i look out for?

Mild side effects: Amitriptyline has mild side effects such as dryness of the mouth and constipation. But these are dose related and only occur at doses above 10 mg per day. Since you are taking only 5 mg daily, this is a low dose, not enough to cause you any major side effects. So you should not have to worry about any side effects.
