The back of my head, center, above occipital bone, it burns..i feel an indentation where the burning is, and there is no visible sign of any irritant.

Burning: If careful inspection of the scalp in that area doesn't reveal any inflammation of the skin, your symptom may be caused by an irritable or slightly inflamed superficial nerve of the scalp. It should resolve and doesn't appear to be a serious condition. Avoid pressure on that area of your scalp.
