Memory worse: Vimpat (lacosamide) is not widely used for prevention of migraine. There is not so much data as for many other drugs, but if all else has failed, it would be reasonable to try. Vimpat generally tends to make memory function worse--not better. Any temporal lobe problems (seizures, prior damage, etc.) also tends to make memory worse.

Vimpat: Control of your seizures will probably be the best thing to help your memory, rather than a drug for migraine headaches. You should discuss this with your neurologist to ensure you and your doctor are on the same page with respect to the therapeutic intent of the Vimpat.
