Lymph nodes: Yes, you should check them, but only as part of a routine physical exam. The most obvious places to look for lymph nodes are in the front of the neck, under the chin, under the armpits, and in the groin. If he finds any abnormal lymph nodes, then you may need further work up. If you haven't had a physical exam in a while, perhaps it's a good time. Good luck.
