If i'm taking prednisone and atarax for an allergic reaction in the form of a rash can i take nyquil to help me sleep. the itching is so bad?

Nyquil: Nyquil is a cough medication that has several ingredients including an antihistamine. While I doubt that you'd have a serious interaction with the atarax, you wouldn't want the stimulant effect of the pse in Nyquil. Are you taking the full strength dose of atarax(50mgs)? If not try taking the 50 mgs at bedtime which may give you sedation for sleep as well as antiitch effect. Discuss with your MD.
