Noticed red genital lump in/on my scrotum when i awoke yesterday. feels like a knot, seems to be attached to the skin. pus resulted after i applied pressure. mild discomfort in the area 2weeks prior. is this varicocele?

Varicocele: A varicocele should not be producing pus. Physical examination with hx would be the way to get most accurate assessment.

No; get examined by : ... a doctor right away. If there is pus (white liquid), then there is a good chance of a scrotal abscess. If so, it should be treated like an abscess with drainage, antibiotics, & careful monitoring. A number of conditions, including gangrene, can develop if improperly treated.
