See a doctor: It may be normal to have erratic periods after childbirth however is important to consider a number of other possibilities including failure of the tubal ligation (i.e. pregnancy) or other medical conditions (thyroid problem, polycystic ovaries etc) and exclude these. Agree with your plan to see a doctor for examination and possibly tests.

Home pregnancy test: Pregnancy is EXTREMELY unlikely (but not impossible). Another less likely cause is early menopause. Irregular periods can occur from time to time in healthy people. If you do a home pregnancy test which is normal and you feel otherwise well it would be reasonable to watch and wait and see if your periods return to normal.

Tubes removed or : tied? Even a tubal ligation is not 100%. Take a home pregnancy test. Reasons for missed /late periods: low body weight, obesity, marked weight gain or loss, over-exercise such as in endurance athletes, breast-feeding, stress, illness, eating disorders (bulimia or anorexia), travel, hormone irregularities, drug use, medications (i.e., birth control) or med problem (polycystic ovary syndrome.
