?multiple causes: Your symptoms could be caused by various processes including but not limited to: tooth abcess, throat infection, soft tissue trauma, fever blisters with secondary bacterial infection, and soft tissue infection among many others. If the condition goes away in 5-7 days, then no worries. Otherwise see your PCP for eval and possible referral.
