A member asked:

Experiencing popping or snapping sound from my shoulder . been hurting for a month and can't raise my arm above my head. when raise there is pain. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shoulder pathology: Do you recall an injury? If not you may be dealing with tendonitis of the joint. The popping sound may be from tendon movements. If you can take them, anti-inflammatory medications like Advil or Aleve for a week with some gentle stretching exercises after heat applications are worth trying. If not improved, see your physician or an orthopedic specialist for evaluation.
