Whoa!!!!!: Most estimate that a dress size is equivalent to at least 10 pounds so are you saying you've gained 50 pounds with no identifiable cause?? This is alarming! The most common causes of unexplained weight gain--hypothyroidism, fluid retention--should be accompanied by other signs/symptoms. Often times eating and activity habits have changed, perhaps without being recognized. A doctor visit is needed
