A member asked:

Recently,i had a toe fracture and the swelling last for 6weeks and it still swelling. normally how long does toe fracture and the swelling heal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Toe fracture: Bone fractures might take 4-6 weeks to heal. However, if treatment is not adequate, healing can be delayed or it might heal incorrectly causing chronic pain and swelling. For toe fracture, if you don't splint/buddy-tape the injured toe or you continue with physical activities using that toe, fracture might not heal and you continue to have pain and swelling.
