Allergy: Itching on or in the eye can be caused by allergies. If you have itching inside the eye along with watery eyes, that can be caused by environmental allergies. Eyelid itching can be caused by contact dermatitis. It is advisable to have someone look at your eye to determine the cause

Allergies?: An itchy eye would usually suggest allergies, but depending on the rest of your symptoms (if any) it may be prudent for us to consider the possibility of an infection - conjunctivitis. Is it one eye or both? Any drainage from the eye? Does the eye get stuck shut in the morning? Any visual disturbance?
