Chest pain: If the pain is also brought on by a deep breath, is Sharp and fleeting it is consistent with a pinched intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between 2 ribs. If you can't be sure whether the discomfort is within the breast itself, have a careful breast examination. If it's a pinched nerve in the rib cage, avoid straining the rib cage, avoid very tight bras. A chest surgeon can also evaluate you.
