Stretch: Nocturnal leg cramps are common. Cause usually unknown, perhaps associated with prolonged sitting. Might be associated with certain meds, mostly BP pills. Quinine and quinidine help but can have serious side effects. Recent review indicates that magnesium does not work any better than placebo. Stretch the backs of your legs-GENTLY-at bedtime and try to relax.
