Anti-itch remedies: Moisturize with a non-perfumed product-good examples are cetaphil, vaseline, lubriderm. Shower with lukewarm water. Avoid allergens from clothing/foods/cosmetics/laundry products. Topically, use 1% Hydrocortisone ointment and orally use 25 mg Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at bedtime. If symptoms do not resolve, then you may need prescription topical meds and your physician needs to rule out other underlying disorders.

Hot pepper chill out: Trigeminal nerve pain? Capsacain puts the hot in chili peppers and raises our pain threshold so things don't hurt as much. Some folks have reported relief. Worth a try. More common treatments are pills and procedures. Acupuncture may help. Talk with your doc for strategies that will work best for you. Hope you're feeling better.
