A member asked:

Would active multiple sclerosis cause an elevated crp or sedimentation rate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ESR and cRP in MS. : Being multiple sclerosis is an inflammatory condition, it would not be unreasonable to think that the ESR and CRP could be elevated when the condition is active. That being said, ESR and CRP are very nonspecific markers and in and of themselves should not be used diagnostically in this context.
