Varicocoele. : A grade one varicocele is quite small. That being said, there would be two indications with which one would consider operating on a varicocele: pain and infertility. Varicocele can affect sperm quality and production which can make childbearing difficult. Furthermore, varicoceles can cause discomfort.

As you know,: a varicocele is a enlarged vein in the scrotum, similar to a varicose vein in the leg. A grade 1 varicocele is the smallest. They are common and often do not require treatment. But because you added that you are having discomfort in the testis/abdomen you need to be evaluated to determine whether the varicocele is contributing to your discomfort or whether it is something else.
