No matter what: No matter what happens with their menses, women on birth control pills should stick to taking the pills as scheduled to reliably suppress ovulation and to, possibly after a few cycles, become regular. If that does not happen and remains a nuisance, a pill with a different composition of estrogen and progestin may make the difference.
