A member asked:

Hi! i recently had a chest pa. in the interpretation field it says that there is a suspicious opacity in the right apex. what does it mean? is it tb?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Evidence of TB: It's quite possible that indeed this is TB - as tuberculosis favors the upper part of the lung, AND you are from the Philippines - which is one of the most highly afflicted countries in the world. Sorry to say. Hopefully your doc can investigate further. Sometimes TB dries up on it's own and there is a residual scar, but if you have coughing, fevers, weight loss etc you REALLY need to follow up.
