HIV: If she is not HIV positive, then I do not see the risk of this.

Not if she doesn't: You can't contract HIV from an uninfected person but then how can you be so sure without any evidence since appearance can be deceiving. If she does have HIV and the insertion occurred while she had a period , the risk of HIV rises significantly. If you are concerned , get tested.
