Check for DM: Tussin DM syrup has guiafensin a mucous thinning agent. The DM is the abbreviation for Dextromorphan the cough suppressant medication. It does not contain an antihistamine like brompheniramine. Use according to label directions for age, amount and frequency of dosing .
