Don't worry: HPV infections are universally ubiquitous among women, unfortunately usually inclusive of the cancer causing strains. This is the reason children are now vaccinated. Your partner should go for a pap smear with her OB/GYN and undergo colposcopy/staining for any suspicious lesions on exam or abnormal pap showing cells that may indicate pathogenesis. With regular follow ups she will be safe.
